Moral Injury is a form of psychological distress that roots from transgression of one’s moral beliefs. Recent studies have highlighted the surge of Moral Injury in healthcare workers globally, due to the pandemic and constant exposure to potentially morally injurious or distressful events (PMIDEs). Moral Injury in healthcare has shown high associations with moral distress, PTSD, depressive symptoms, suicidal ideations, and substance use.
